HSSMI Engineering Icons

HSSMI are an engineering institute who conduct research into high speed sustainable manufacture. For their new website they commissioned a set of 40 icons to be used across their digital and print platforms.

As they are concerned with engineering and manufacture the institution wanted a technical feel to the illustrations, though they were keen to stress that they did not want the illustrations to feel too ‘dry’.

The styling of the icons is friendly and bright. They are also drawn isometrically, echoing the 3D modelling techniques and drawings used in the industry.
